I’m going to talk about the present today. Yes, we’ll get back to Babylon as I promised, but the past can wait just a bit longer, because the historic implications of what happened today are huge. Today, hordes of illegal immigrants and their supporters marched to demand the right to stay here in the United States. Let’s say that one more time: criminals marched demanding that their crimes be ignored and/or sanctioned.
No matter which side of the illegal immigration debate you are on, that is a major event. Only in America! You know why they want to be here?? Money is the easy answer, but it’s not the only one. I’m betting for many, it’s freedom. And that’s part of why I love this country.
