Civil War Site
let’s speak historically for just a few minutes today. The Civil War Home Page is dedicated to the participants, both North and South, in the great American Civil War 1861 - 1865. The site has maps, pictures, written accounts and more. It’s a great place to find put more about the many facets of the great war, which some of us still call the War of Northern Aggression.
I do have a caution, though. Don’t ever assume that the Civil War was fought over slavery. Slavery did play a part, but it was just that: a part. There were many other factors as well, including Lincoln’s desire to re-unite the divided Union. Hmm………..no, not today. Today, you can go read over there.
